Workshop Description
This workshop is intended to educate and train Emergency Medicine, Acute care medicine, Surgery, and Critical care professionals in some of the most critical invasive procedures. Although these procedures are lifesaving, many physicians perform them infrequently. This course will focus on retraining or introducing physicians to several critical and invasive procedures. The Procedures include Cricothyroidotomy, Chest tube placement, Pericardiocentesis, Percutaneous tracheostomy, Intraosseous Line insertion, and Central line insertion. The participants will be able to practice lifesaving procedures in a controlled but realistic setting. The workshop's key focus will be providing adequate time for Hands-on sessions.
Learning Objectives

Understand the indications and contraindications for performing a procedure.

Familiarize participants with the anatomical landmarks necessary for performing the procedure.

Develop proficiency in identifying the appropriate patient positioning and preparation for the procedure.

Enhance participants' knowledge of the equipment and instruments required for the procedure, including their proper handling and preparation.

Train participants in inserting and securing an appropriate device.
